01Scope of Work
This proposal covers the repair of storm damage sustained at {{client_address}} on {{date_of_loss}} under {{insurance_carrier}} claim {{claim_number}}. Scope follows the adjuster's scope of loss prepared by {{adjuster_name}}.
Work included (per adjuster's scope):
• Full tear-off of damaged roof down to deck
• Inspection and replacement of damaged sheathing as itemized in adjuster scope
• Ice-and-water shield, synthetic underlayment, drip edge
• Step flashing, counter-flashing, pipe boots per scope
• Shingle replacement (match existing product and color where possible)
• Ridge vent or equivalent ventilation per scope
• Gutters, downspouts, fascia, soffit, screens, or other line items if included in adjuster scope
• All required permits and manufacturer warranty registration
• Dumpster delivery, debris haul-off, and magnetic nail sweep
Supplement items (if discovered):
• Conditions not visible during the adjuster's initial inspection — including code-upgrade requirements, rot hidden by shingles, or additional damage revealed during tear-off — are documented with photographs and submitted to {{insurance_carrier}} as a supplement. Work on supplemental items proceeds only upon supplement approval or homeowner written authorization.
Exclusions & limitations:
• Upgrades beyond like-kind-and-quality (LKQ) — e.g., impact-resistant shingle upgrade, new ridge vent on a previously unvented roof, color upgrade to a premium tier — are itemized as owner-elected upgrades and paid by {{client_name}} outside the insurance claim.
