01Scope of Work
This proposal covers installation of a {{generator_kw}} {{generator_model}} standby generator at {{client_address}}.
Site prep
• Pour concrete pad (or place composite pad) at {{generator_location}}
• Verify setback requirements per local code and manufacturer (typically 18"–60" from combustibles; local AHJ may be stricter)
• Coordinate {{fuel_type}} gas line routing (if new line required, coordinated with licensed gas fitter; itemized below)
Generator install
• Set generator on pad, level, and anchor per manufacturer spec
• Connect {{fuel_type}} gas line with approved flex connector and shutoff
• Install automatic transfer switch (ATS) adjacent to main electrical panel; whole-home or critical-load panel configuration per {{client_name}}'s choice
• Wire ATS to main panel with appropriately sized service-entrance conductors
• Install battery, fluid fills (oil), and initial fuel supply
Commissioning
• Perform startup per manufacturer protocol
• Conduct a simulated utility failure; verify transfer to generator within target seconds (typically 10–20 seconds)
• Test return-to-utility and cool-down cycle
• Set weekly auto-exercise schedule (typically Saturday 2 PM)
• Register {{client_name}} with Mobile Link (or equivalent) for remote monitoring (Wi-Fi included on most new units)
Owner orientation
• 30-minute orientation on operation, maintenance (oil change every 200 hours or annually), and emergency operation
• Deliver owner's manual, warranty registration, and maintenance schedule
