01Scope of Work
This proposal covers a new paver patio install at {{client_address}} — {{patio_sqft}} sq ft of {{paver_selection}} in {{pattern}} pattern.
Excavation & base
• Layout patio footprint per approved design
• Excavate to a depth of 8"–10" below finished patio grade (6" base + paver thickness + bedding sand)
• Haul-off of excavated soil
• Install non-woven geotextile fabric over subgrade (prevents aggregate migration into soil)
• Install 4"–6" of compacted 3/4-minus aggregate base, placed in 2"–3" lifts and compacted with plate compactor
• Install 1" of bedding sand (screeded flat to final grade)
Paver install
• Set pavers per {{pattern}} pattern, starting from a known edge
• Cut pavers with wet saw for edges and curves (PPE used for silica dust safety per OSHA)
• Install edge restraint (plastic snap-edge or concrete curb) around perimeter
• Compact pavers with plate compactor (rubber pad protects surface)
• Install polymeric sand in joints; activate with water and cure per manufacturer spec
Drainage
• Pitch patio away from house (minimum 1% slope, target 2%)
• Coordinate with downspouts if patio intersects roof drainage; discharge away from patio surface
Closeout
• Final sweep and clean
• Homeowner walkthrough; review care guide
