01Scope of Work
This proposal covers replacement of the existing driveway at {{client_address}} — {{driveway_sqft}} sq ft.
Demo
• Saw-cut existing driveway at boundaries to create clean edges
• Break up and remove existing slab
• Haul-off debris (concrete is recycled per EPA)
• Remove any buried obstructions within driveway footprint
Subgrade prep
• Excavate to 8"–10" below finished grade ({{slab_thickness}} slab + 4" base)
• Install 4" compacted 3/4"-minus aggregate base; plate-compact in lifts
• Grade for positive drainage away from house (minimum 1% slope)
Forms and reinforcement
• Set perimeter forms at finished grade
• Install #4 rebar in 18"x18" grid (or 6x6 WWF per local code) on chairs
• Install expansion joints against house foundation, sidewalks, and garage apron
Pour
• Concrete mix: {{mix_spec}}
• Pour slab to {{slab_thickness}} (thicker at approach)
• Screed, float, trowel
• Apply {{finish_type}}
• Install control joints by sawing within 24 hours of pour (1/4 slab thickness depth, 10'–12' OC)
Curing
• Apply curing compound or wet-cure with plastic sheeting for minimum 72 hours
• Vehicle traffic: 7 days minimum after pour
• Light foot traffic: 24 hours after finish
Closeout
• Remove forms
• Install expansion joint caulk at house, sidewalk, and garage apron
• Haul away debris; clean work area
• Provide care guide (seal recommended after 30–60 day cure)
