01Scope of Work
This proposal covers a full refinish of {{cabinet_count}} at {{client_address}}. Current: {{cabinet_style}}. New finish: {{finish_color}}.
Removal & staging
• Remove all cabinet doors and drawer fronts; label each for return to correct opening
• Remove existing hardware; retain for reinstall (or replace with new if itemized)
• Set up off-site shop or on-site garage spray booth (tented with plastic for overspray containment)
Prep
• Degrease all surfaces with TSP or denatured alcohol
• Scuff-sand with 220-grit; dust-off
• For heavily varnished or glossy surfaces: apply bonding primer (Zinsser BIN or SW Extreme Bond)
• Fill screw holes, dings, and dents with two-part wood filler; sand flush
• Mask cabinet boxes in-place for box painting (or remove if full removal is in scope)
Primer
• One coat bonding primer, sanded between coats with 320-grit
• On dark-to-light color changes, apply second coat primer for opacity
Finish
• Two coats cabinet-grade enamel (SW Emerald Urethane Trim Enamel, BM Advance, or equivalent)
• Spray application for factory-smooth finish (HVLP gun)
• Inter-coat sanding with 400-grit
• 24+ hour cure between coats
Reinstall
• Return doors and drawer fronts to proper openings
• Adjust hinges and alignment
• Reinstall hardware (or install new)
• Paint cabinet boxes (in-place spray with masking, or roll-and-brush if tenting is impractical)
Closeout
• Final walkthrough
• Touch-up kit (small bottle of color) left with {{client_name}}
