Why this tracker matters at tax time

Your 1099-K shows gross sales — not taxable profit. The IRS expects you to subtract your cost of goods (COGS) from gross sales to arrive at taxable income. This tracker generates the per-item COGS records you need. Export to CSV → import to your tax spreadsheet → deduct the total. Under IRC §1221, the purchase cost of inventory is your basis. Under IRC §162, ordinary reselling expenses are fully deductible.
